BaaS providers

BaaS accounts specifications:

Railsbank accounts

By choosing Railsbank as BaaS, the accounts to created in SME and CONSUMER will only have the option to be in GBP and/or EUR as currencies.

Also, Railsbank offers the possibility to create Lithuania accounts in EUR. The preferred option for currencies, and also specific Lithuanian accounts to be working with, must be selected during customer creation in the Admin portal. Then, the currencies available for users in the platforms will correspond with the previous selection in the Admin portal.

Therefore, if configured to create accounts in GBP and EUR in the UK and Lithuania when a user wants to open a new account they will have the option to select between (if only one currency was selected in Admin, the form will only be shown the predefined currency and not the other):

  • GBP Account in the UK: accounts will be created under sort code and account number. Also, IBAN could be reviewed
  • EUR Account in the UK: accounts will be created under IBAN number
  • EUR Account in Lithuania: accounts will be created under IBAN number

By selecting GBP or EUR in the UK, no further information will be required because the compliance process will already be completed.

However, further details will be needed in case of selecting anEUR Account in Lithuania. In this case, Directors must complete the data required in order to create this type of Account:

After selecting "Complete data" CTA, the Director will be redirected to the form to complete the missing data required:

Missing data for each Director will be:

  • Document Type
  • Document ID or number
  • Document issuing country
  • Appointment date

Once the *missing data is entered, a Lithuanian Account can be created.

Additional Director information could also be reviewed (not modified) later in Personal details in the Chaning settings section.

Modulr accounts

If choosing Modulr as BaaS, the Accounts created in SME and CONSUMER will only have the option to be in GBP and/or EUR as currencies. This selection must also be done during customer creation in the Admin portal. But in Modulr's case, the configuration will depend on the legislation country:

  • GBP in the UK: this account will be created for clients with the UK as a legislation country
  • EUR in the UK: this account will be created for clients with the UK as a legislation country
  • GBP in EU: this account will be created for clients with the EU as a legislation country (region)
  • EUR in EUR: this account will be created for clients with the EU as a legislation country (region)

Then, depending on the client's legislation country, the Account will be created in GBP or EUR in the UK or EU. However, this selection will be transparent to the users and they will just need to select the currency from the Account creation form:

EML accounts

If EML is selected BaaS, you will see the available currencies in EUR. This configuration must be done from the Admin portal during customer creation.

  • EUR Accounts from EML have Spanish IBAN

Depending on the currencies selected to be working with the form will show EUR during the Account creation in the same way as explained above.

  • EML Accounts are linked to pre-paid cards in Toqio's implementation

When the Accounts are created, they are hidden in the cards list so they cannot cancel or freeze the main card. You will only see child cards, dependent on the main card/account.

If choosing ClearBank as BaaS, the accounts created in SME and CONSUMER will have the option to be in all the different currencies selected in the Admin portal.
